Young people today are immersed in a digital world. From a very young age they have access to a whole host of new technologies and the internet. Whilst there are huge benefits to this there are also many potential problems. At Castle Manor Academy we are incredibly proactive and through lessons, assemblies and tutor time we share advice and guidance illustrating the positive and negative aspects of being online. We explore the consequences of our actions and the ramifications associated with: cyberbullying, digital cheating, identity, self- image, digital footprint, communication and internet safety. We understand that it is essential for all to have the necessary skills to be able to manage the online world. We will also communicate any fresh concerns to parents ensuring that all interested parties are aware of new developments. If you are worried about the way someone has been communicating with you (or someone you know) online, let us support you by contacting us.
