    In Modern Foreign Languages (MFL), we have a commitment to ensuring that our students are best prepared for the world of work, changes in trade and international development in the future. We aim to widen students’ horizons, deepen their knowledge of other cultures and enable them to communicate in a foreign language. We follow a bespoke course which is common to all UNITY Trust schools, which we then adapt to the needs of our students.

    Drama lessons aim to incorporate and develop the use of a range of dramatic techniques and skills. Students learn the craft of preparing a dramatic piece and are given opportunity to perform to a range of audiences. Drama is taught to all students in year 7, 8 & 9 as part of a rotation with Music and Dance. Students spend 9/10 weeks in each of these subjects before being given a choice to opt for one of these for the remaining 9/10 weeks. This gives students the opportunity to develop their skills further in their preferred Art form
