CEIAG Student Area
Our CEIAG aim
Castle Manor Academy students are aware of the importance of their education and leave with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in whatever they do next.
Throughout our CEIAG programme we believe in supporting and challenging you to become best you can be and to ensure that no-one knowingly under achieves or doesn’t understand the options about what is next in their ‘learning’ journey. With these principles in mind, our aim is to ensure that every student has the highest quality advice and guidance on their future pathways and how to achieve their ambitions.
All our students are entitled to:
- Learning knowledge about the world of work and the skills needed to be successful in the workplace through tutor-time and subject careers learning;
- Finding out about technical education qualifications and apprenticeships opportunities, as part of a careers programme which provides information on the full range of education and training options available at each transition point;
- Hearing from a range of local providers about the opportunities they offer, including technical education and apprenticeships – through options events, assemblies & group discussions and taster events;
- Understanding how to make applications for the full range of academic and technical courses;
- Request a 1:1 pathway meeting with our Careers Leader to explore interests, future ideas and create an individual career plan;
- Have the opportunity to meet one employer or more through planned whole year group career learning activity, subject learning or career fairs;
- Hear about the world of work and employability skills through assemblies;
- Attend any lunchtime guest speaker events which are open to all year groups.
Your CEIAG programme is full of new CEIAG learning opportunities as you progress through Castle Manor Academy. More details can be found in our Careers Policy.
