At Castle Manor Academy, we ensure that all students, regardless of background, needs or ability have access to the same opportunities.
Our curriculum is ambitious for all our students and is adapted and designed to ensure that every student can be successful. We offer a range of GCSE and vocational subjects at Year 10 and 11.
In Year 10 and 11 they will all study:
- English Literature
- English Language
- Maths
- Combined Science
- Life and Culture
- Core PE
Students then must choose to study at least one of; French, Geography, History and Separate Science.
Students can choose to study a selection of subjects that are called the EBacc subjects, where they select to study a humanities subject (Geography and History) and French. The EBacc subjects are important as it helps students to keep their options open for further study and future careers.
Students can then choose their other option subjects from this extensive list: Art, 3D Design, Business and Enterprise, Creative iMedia, Dance, Drama, Food Preparation and Nutrition, Health and Fitness, Health and Social Care, Music, Photography, Physics Education and Textile Design.
